Abstract:
There are a large number of cosmetic products made based on Nano-Technology. These products contain nanomaterials because they have many advantages, of which are some of which are the delivery of active ingredients, stability, increased efficiency and skin tolerance for different UV filters. Although they offer many benefits, their use requires caution. It is necessary to take care of volumes leading to their reactivity and changes in the bio-logical activity compared to the parents materials applicable. The shape and size of the particles are the cause of the appearance of toxic effects, not their chemical properties. In this paper, we will review those materials that find applications in personal care products such as: Liposomes, Niosomes, Transfers, Nanoemulsions, solid lipid nanoparticles, polymeric systems, nanocriteria, Fullerene and finally metal oxide nanoparticles.
