Abstract:
In recent years, systems which controle the holding force in deep drawing of geometrically complex parts have being developed. These systems are used in modern sheet metal manufacturing plants, especially in the automotive industry.
This paper discusses two basic implemented controlling system ("closed loop" and "open loop"), in which the controle variables are holding force and draw bead height.
Controlled variables in complete system ("closed loop") must be a direct indicators of the process success and must be actively maintained within certain limits with corresponding change of holding force and draw bead height.
In addition to these considerations of implemented control system, the paper presents the results of own research – tension force dependence on the pressure and the draw bead height in various contact conditions.
