Abstract:
Development of new, more efficient, technologies for modern materials production has caused a significant drop in their prices. As a consequence production of photovoltaic systems is getting more and more economically justified. Photovoltaic technologies experienced significant development in last few decades. This review paper will focus on material aspect of these technologies, namely, exploitation of nanomaterials in last generation of PV systems. Several representative materials will be reviewed, as well as different nanostructures. This paper covers usage of materials and structures with different physical characteristics, absorption coefficients and surface/bulk recombination rates according to different production processes.
