Abstract:
Object of research is concrete made with recycled aggregate from precast paving blocks and curbs. Experimental work has included more types of concrete made with different amounts of cement and consistency class S1. Recycled concrete and crushed fine fraction were used as aggregates. The influence of percentage and grain size of crushed concrete aggregate on concrete compressive strength in different ages was observed. Based on the experimental results it can be concluded that the use of recycled concrete as aggregate gets a new composite material that can be used for the production of precast elements. In this way the environment is protected and the waste produced in own production re-used as a component material for concrete.
