Abstract:
Abstract: The paper examined microporous structure of ZSM-5 zeoliteand its cation modified forms: Fe-ZSM-5, Cu-ZSM-5, Co-ZSM-5, Mn-ZSM-5 and Ni-ZSM-5 zeoliteby the adsorption of nitrogen at 77 K.
Specific surface (SP) of the mentioned ZSM-5 zeolites was determined by the use of BET-equation (SPBET) and Langmuir equation (SPLANG), while „t-method“ was used for determining the outer specific surface (SPext) and for estimating the volume of micropores (Vμpt). Dubinin Radushkevich equation (VμpDR) was also used for estimating the volume of micropores.
It was established that the presence of: Fe2+, Cu2+, Co2+, Mn2+and Ni2+ ions in the structure of ZSM-5 zeolite results in a minor increase of the specific surface (SPBET) and a minor decrease of the outer specific surface (SPext).
