Abstract:
This paper deals with the influence of tempering parameters (temperature and time exposure) for the steel EN 42CrMoS4 on the fatigue behavior. Experimental design and statistical analysis were performed using multi factor model and processing of the experimental results was done with the help of software package ,,Matlab“. The module which is used is based on artificial intelligence, in particular on the base of artificial neural networks.
The round bar specimens were made with a neck at the central part of the specimen, with purpose of dynamic testing using a rotary testing machine according to RR.Moore. The goal of the experiment was to determine a mathematical model that could make possible to develop the optimal parameters of heat treatment in order to achieve the increasement fatigue behavior.
