Abstract:
The chemical structure and composition of segmented poly(urethane-urea-siloxane) copolymers, PUUS, based on 4,4\\\'-methylene diphenyl diisocyanate-ethylene diamine (MDI-ED) hard segments and α,ω–dihydroxypropyl-poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) soft segment were investigated by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy and using various 2D–NMR correlation methods. The mean sequence length of the soft and hard segments, as well as the sequence distribution of the hard segments in the PUUS series, were obtained by quantitative 13C NMR spectroscopy.
