Abstract:
If we adopt the assumption that the system is properly designed, assembled by means of appropriate procedures and appropriate components, operated with projected capabilities, than it follows that the causes of failure occurrence can be and usually are gradual degradation processes. These degradation processes are the result of the mechanisms of wear, oil contamination and oil additives depletion. In the peer-reviewed literature states that about 80% failures was due to problems with hydraulic oil, in therms of its contamination or depletion. This paper present the experimental results in terms of impact of different oil cleanliness classes, at the same values of working pressure, flow and temperature, on wear intensity of contact pair piston-cylinder inside of distributional valve.
